Lovely Lush Leeks Harvest

This is the first year I have actually grown Leeks from seed so this harvest is a real achievement!

My Leeks have gone from looking like blades of grass as seedlings to fattened white stems over the course of seven months.

Here’s my Journey with Leeks:

Leeks were sown in Root Trainers, these are deep cells. Leek roots do not like to be disturbed so these deep cells are perfect to grow them in.

You can just see them popping through the soil on 23rd March from Sowing on the 9th March.

Leek Seedlings are like blades of grass

Leeks Ready to Plant out May 5th.
